I really enjoyed my trip to House of St Barnabase – lots of contemporary art to engage with – I particularly enjoyed seeing Wanda Bernadino’s work – I enjoy blanking out faces and redacting areas of my own work so it was very interesting to see close up the amazing intricacy of her paintings then reduced to blank areas where the faces would have been.  I also enjoyed seeing The Connor Brothers work – I had been interested in their work at the London Print Fair so it was surprising to see this particular piece of work as a 3D project – they are artists I will be looking into further as they manage to capture humour and darkness in a lot of their work.
